This resurrected event took the format of 10km ‘Round the Bridges’ run, a road bike ride along the railway cyclepath and then up Great Eastern Highway to Flynn Rd, a short mountain bike ride down Flynn Rd to Abercorn Rd, and a 7km orienteering event. With a handicap start, the entire field came together on the orienteering course before splitting apart again and it came down to a sprint finish between Pete Shanley and John Toomey after 4 and a half hours of racing. John Toomey took the win by two seconds
